Artists

Lenny White

Leonard White III is a three-time Grammy Award-winning American jazz fusion drummer, born in New York City, best known for being the drummer of Chick Corea's Return to Forever. A resident of Teaneck, New Jersey, White has been described as "one of the founding fathers of jazz fusion".

Billy Cobham

William Emanuel "Billy" Cobham Jr. is a Panamanian-American jazz drummer who came to prominence in the late 1960s and early 1970s with trumpeter Miles Davis and then with the Mahavishnu Orchestra. According to AllMusic's reviewer, Cobham is "generally acclaimed as fusion's greatest drummer".

He was inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame in 1987 and the Classic Drummer Hall of Fame in 2013.

Allan Holdsworth

Allan Holdsworth was a British guitarist and composer. He released twelve studio albums as a solo artist and played a variety of musical styles in a career spanning more than four decades, but is best known for his work in jazz fusion.

Kamasi Washington

Kamasi Washington is an American jazz saxophonist, composer, producer, and bandleader. Washington is known mainly for playing tenor saxophone.

His debut solo recording, The Epic, was released in May 2015 to critical acclaim.

Darryl Jones

Darryl Jones projects’ as a co-leader include Stone Raiders with Jean-Paul Bourelly and Will Calhoun, 3 Brave Souls with John Beasley (musician) and the late Leon "Ndugu" Chancler, and Chi Town Social Club with Nicholas Tremulis, Vincent Wilburn Jr., and Shawn Christopher.

Vince Wilburn Jr.

Vince Wilburn, Jr., was born in Chicago. At age 5, Vince began drumming on pots and pans. He was cast as the Little Drummer Boy in his kindergarten play. Vince dreamed of owning one of the drum kits he saw in catalogs and magazines.

John Goodsall

John Goodsall is a progressive rock & jazz fusion guitarist most noted for his work with Brand X, Atomic Rooster and The Fire Merchants. John Goodsall is currently touring with Brand X and performing with acclaimed singer/songwriter/guitarist James Bracken.

For his stint with Atomic Rooster, he adopted the pseudonym "Johnny Mandala."

Percy Jones

Percy Jones is a Welsh bass guitarist, and was a member of jazz fusion band Brand X, from 1974 to 1980, an NYC trio called Stone Tiger in 1982/83, and a reformed version of Brand X which lasted from 1992 to 1999.

Jones was also the driving force behind Tunnels, an improvisation collective which released 4 albums including Progressivity and Live From The Knitting Factory. Residing in New York, he currently is a member of MJ12, an instrumental group based in NYC.

Thundercat

Stephen Lee Bruner better known by his stage name Thundercat, is an American multi-genre bass guitarist, record producer, singer and songwriter from Los Angeles, California. He has released four solo studio albums and is most noted for his work with producer Flying Lotus and crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies.

Thundercat appeared on Kendrick Lamar's critically acclaimed 2015 album To Pimp a Butterfly. In 2016, Thundercat won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Performance for his work on the track "These Walls" from To Pimp a Butterfly.

Gary Husband

Gary Husband is an English jazz and rock drummer, pianist, and bandleader. He is best known for his emotive and dynamic style on both his primary instruments, the keyboards and the drums. He is also a composer, arranger and producer.

Adam Holzman

Adam Holzman is an American jazz keyboardist. He is the son of Elektra Records' founder, Jac Holzman.

In the early 1980s, Holzman founded the Fents with Ted Hall.[1] In 1985, he was hired by Miles Davis to play keyboards on the trumpeter's Tutu album, and stayed with him for four years, eventually becoming his musical director. He can be seen performing in the Davis concert video That's What Happened: Live in Germany 1987. In the early 1990s, he founded the band Mona Lisa Overdrive, which changed its name to Brave New World due to copyright issues.

Dave Hampton

Dave Hampton is a professional jazz drummer Fusion and classical jazz. Has played with many local groups including Carl Hines, Billy Wooten, Mo Better Jazz, Steve Newby and Conversations pieces,

The Paradigm Jazz Quartet, the Dave Bennett Band and Various Religious Group.I provide drum instruction in the Indianapolis area. All forms of drum instruction is provided from Jazz, funk, fusion, rudiments, reading and rock
